Impact-resistant face and trim
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Education
A K-12 gym has to work for PE, junior high and varsity sport, and the all-school assembly. XL AV specifies an indoor LED wall that staff can run, with scoring, audio, lighting, and control as one system.
If the display only works for Friday basketball, the bond did not buy a school system. PE, lunch-time programming, fine-arts crossovers in the gym, and community nights are the rest of the calendar.
XL AV specifies LUXVISION PROLUX Rugged: P3.3 or P4, 16:9 cabinets, front service, fanless Mean Well supplies, and a 7-year warranty context that includes air-inflated ball impact.
Teachers, ADs, and facilities should be able to start an assembly or a game without a technician in the room. We specify the control path and train at commissioning.
Spare modules stay on site. A failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark through basketball season.
PE lighting is often left on. Assemblies need a different look. We operate PROLUX Rugged around 2,100 nits and coordinate lighting scenes when control is in the project.
Speech for assemblies and a game horn belong with the wall. We specify or integrate PA so the back row can understand the room.
Score, video, audio, and lights should not each have their own remote. LUXVISION typically uses NovaStar processing. Staff are trained at commissioning.
We start with the room: dimensions, viewing distance, how it is used, structure, power, and whether audio, lighting, and live video are in the project. Then a specification, coordination with the facilities team, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Spare modules stay on site so a failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.
PROLUX Rugged
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.
Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls.
Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.
Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.
Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.
No. It is specified for PE, sport, and assemblies. Elementary and middle school multi-purpose rooms are in scope when the room is indoor and impact-prone.
Yes. Scoring is a layout. Morning announcements and assemblies use the same canvas.
Room dimensions, viewing distance, sports, and whether audio and lighting are in the project. Structure and power are confirmed on survey.
Yes. Outdoor stadium faces are a different LUXVISION family.
