Impact-resistant face and trim
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.

A jumbotron in this work is a large indoor 16:9 LED wall, not a novelty screen. XL AV sizes it to the room, then specifies processing, audio, lighting, and how staff will run events.
Cabinets array to common 16:9 sizes from about 116 inches diagonal upward. The wall still has to sit on a structural gym or arena wall and be repaired from the front.
XL AV specifies LUXVISION PROLUX Rugged for indoor sport and mixed-use halls. It is impact-resistant, fanless, and front-serviceable. Outdoor stadium faces are a different LUXVISION family.
Live video, replay, sponsor full-screens, and commencement looks are the same canvas if the processor and control path are specified for them. A wall that only works for sport will sit dark for the rest of the calendar.
We survey viewing distance, structure, and power, then commission the operator station with the rest of the room.
A large wall in a bright hall cannot be driven to the diode maximum just to compete with house lights. We operate PROLUX Rugged around 2,100 nits and coordinate lighting scenes when control is in the project.
Large-format video without a speech and program path is incomplete for commencements and events. We specify or integrate audio with the wall.
Event staff need one path for video, audio, and looks. LUXVISION typically uses NovaStar processing. The controller is sized to the pixel map. Training happens at commissioning.
We start with the room: dimensions, viewing distance, how it is used, structure, power, and whether audio, lighting, and live video are in the project. Then a specification, coordination with the facilities team, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Spare modules stay on site so a failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.
PROLUX Rugged
A protective LED mask keeps air-inflated sports balls off the diodes. Micro-grooves help perceived contrast. Perimeter trim protects edges as part of the mechanical design.
Earlier rugged products could lose magnetic modules on a hard hit. PROLUX Rugged uses a quarter-turn metal-to-metal interlock so modules stay on the wall and still service from the front.
Current PROLUX Rugged warranty context is 7 years, including impact from air-inflated sports balls.
Modules, cabling, and feeder access are designed from the front. That is required when a gym display is mounted tight to a wall with no rear aisle.
Gyms collect dust. Fans ingest that dust and then fail. PROLUX Rugged uses the cabinet as a heat sink with Mean Well supplies. There is no cooling fan in the documented architecture.
Pixels capable of about 3,900 nits are operated around 2,100 nits. The intent is less heat and less electrical infrastructure than driving the diodes to their maximum.
Cabinets are 1280 by 720 mm and 1600 by 900 mm, both 16:9. Common walls run from about 116 inches to about 347 inches diagonal by arraying cabinets. Size follows viewing distance.
No. PROLUX Rugged is indoor. Weather-exposed stadium faces are a different product family.
Yes, when cameras and processing are in the project. Say so in the inquiry.
Full front service and onsite spare modules. A failed cabinet is swapped, not left dark.
